September 4th kick off Cyclocross season with a full day race clinic. This clinic is taught by former Ontario Coach and top M1 racer, Rob Holmgreen. Learn riding positions, faster cornering, braking, barriers, starts and more.
September 7th is a Cyclocross clinic to introduce you to a rapidly growing sport. This course is taught by professional coach Andrew Watson. It will introduce you to the many aspects of Cyclocross including, riding positions, mounting, dismounting, barriers and more.
September 14th - October 26th a weekly Velocity Cycle and Ski Wednesday Cyclocross series. All riders are welcome even if you are new to the sport!
October 9th is The Dornella’s O-Cup Cycle Cross Race. This race is part of the Northern Cylcocross Series.

Bruce Stanton, Simcoe North MP, and OPP Commissioner Vince Hawkes are among the local celebrities who will be “arrested” on humourous charges to raise money in support of the Friends of The OPP Museum and the Orillia Museum of Art & History on September 30, 2016 between 10 am and 4 pm. During the day, the public is welcome to attend the museum, visit the jail, view a display featuring the history of policing in Orillia and/or have their photo taken in a cell. A gala reception and roast will be held at the museum from 7 to 9 pm. Guests will be able to mingle with the celebrities with music provided by The Felonious Monks. Opportunities will also be available for guests to have their pictures taken at the jail with a celebrity or on their own. Tickets to the gala are $50.00 per person and can be purchased at the Orillia Museum of Art & History.

The Barrie Concert Band is joined with the Base Borden Brass and Reed Band to host a special salute the members and veterans of the Canadian Forces. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Base Borden and the 50th anniversary of the Barrie ANAF Club, Unit 365.  Music will represent a variety of poignant military themes from popular culture, moving anthems and marches. This is a free community event for the 14th year. Admission is free but an optional donation for the Barrie Food Bank is much appreciated. Thank you for your support!
