The Simcoe and District Ontario Maple Syrup Producers will be hosting the fifth annual Maple Weekend on April 4 - 5, 2020 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
UPDATE: It is with deep regret that the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers' Association announces that the provincial Maple Weekend event has been cancelled for 2020. This news comes in response to the provincial government's declaration of a state of emergency, the increased need for social distancing and the safety of maple syrup producers, staff and visitors. We look forward to hosting Maple Weekend once again on April 3-4, 2021.
Maple Weekend gives you a first-hand opportunity to see how maple products are produced, from tree to table. There will be free samples and lots of fun! You can visit all 9 local sugar houses free of charge and learn about the centuries-old craft of maple sugaring. Enjoy pancake breakfasts, sugarbush trails, sugar making demonstrations, taffy on snow, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and more.
Each producer has a unique list of activities and experiences in store for you. Check out each producer's listing to see what specific activities they are offering and come prepared to buy syrup – you're definitely going to want to take some home with you!
Experience the traditional maple sugaring craft and taste why pure Ontario maple syrup has long been a favourite springtime treat.
