September 16-25, 2024 is our Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness week, a community-wide celebration.
There are lots of events to enjoy throughout the week from a variety of
organizations.
Bring the whole family to dive into the fascinating world of ancient tools and techniques. Shawn Corbiere from M’Chigeeng First Nation will guide you through the art of flint knapping, showing how to create stone arrowheads. Additionally, explore the history and use of the atlatl, a traditional tool for enhancing hunting.
Admission is FREE but space is limited to 25 participants. To ensure you have a spot, please pre-register as soon as possible.
