Farmgate sales are the best way of sourcing fresh, local food goods directly from a farm, without added retail markup. Many farms sell their products from stands at the end of their laneway or from their home. The most common farmgate items sold in Simcoe County are seasonal produce, eggs and meat. Many operate on an honour system, so please be kind.
Simcoe County is also home to an amazing number of community farmers’ markets, where farmers and food producers gather on a weekly basis, bringing the farm to town!
